Grape varieties and terroir

This vintage is made from: 100% Pinot Noir, grown without chemical additives or pesticides.

The Les Boutières terroir, located in northern Burgundy (Hautes-Côtes), is planted on clay-limestone soils rich in microbial life. This vibrant, hand-worked terroir gives the wine a signature that is both delicious and mineral.

Tasting

Color: Intense ruby red, slightly cloudy, a sign of vinification without filtration.
Nose: An explosion of small red fruits (wild strawberry, redcurrant), enhanced with floral notes (peony, faded rose) and a discreet spicy touch (white pepper). A beautiful expression of life, with a slightly wild hint.
Palate: Juicy and delicious attack, ample texture but not heavy. The tannins are fine, silky, carried by a beautiful natural acidity. Long, vibrant finish, with notes of morello cherry and chalky minerality.

Storage Potential

Ready to drink for lovers of vibrant and fruity wines, Les Boutières 2018 can be kept for 5 to 8 years to develop more complex tertiary notes, while retaining its lively structure.

Food and Wine Pairings

A free and gourmet wine, perfect with:

- Artisanal charcuterie and country terrines
- Roasted poultry with herbs
- Oven-roasted vegetables (eggplant, peppers)
- Soft ripened cheeses (Epoisses, Saint-Marcellin)
