Grape varieties and terroir

Typical Figeac blend:

- Cabernet Franc (35%): finesse, complexity, freshness
- Cabernet Sauvignon (35%): structure, depth
- Merlot (30%): roundness, volume and silkiness

The Günzian gravel ensures perfect drainage and allows the Cabernets to reveal all their elegance, even in sunny vintages.

Tasting

Color: Deep, intense and brilliant garnet red.

Nose: Sumptuous and expressive, revealing aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), notes of violet, graphite, cedar and sweet spices, with a subtle touch of liquorice.

Palate: Full and silky attack, dense and balanced palate, supported by perfectly integrated tannins. Long, fresh finish, with superb mineral tension and remarkable aromatic persistence.

Storage Potential

A wine made for aging: 30 to 40 years, with the potential to evolve towards highly complex tertiary aromas.

Food and Wine Pairings

Ideal to accompany:

- Grilled rib of beef
- Rack of lamb in a herb crust
- Veal fillet with morels
- Hard ripened cheeses (Comté 36 months, Beaufort)
