Grape varieties and terroir

Classic Figeac blend:

- Cabernet Franc (35%): freshness, aromatic complexity
- Cabernet Sauvignon (35%): structure, straightness
- Merlot (30%): roundness, volume

The estate's Günzian gravel ridges ensure perfect drainage and allow for slow and regular maturation, even in complex climatic conditions.

Tasting

Color: Light garnet red, with tiled highlights, announcing a beautiful evolution.

Nose: Delicate and subtle, dominated by aromas of ripe red fruits (redcurrant, cherry), floral notes (peony, violet), and tertiary nuances of undergrowth, blond tobacco and sweet spices.

Palate: Supple and silky attack, slender and elegant palate, with fine and melted tannins. Fresh, persistent finish, marked by a beautiful minerality and evolved notes of leather and truffle.

Storage Potential

Already at perfect maturity, this Château Figeac 2013 can still be enjoyed with pleasure over 5 to 10 years, gaining in tertiary complexity.

Food and Wine Pairings

To be enjoyed with:

- Roasted poultry with mushrooms
- Duck breast with figs
- Veal chop with morels
- Soft, ripened cheeses (Brie de Meaux, Saint-Nectaire)
