Grape varieties and terroir

Typical assembly:

- Sauvignon Blanc (65%): aromatic brilliance, freshness, liveliness
- Sémillon (35%): richness, roundness, volume

The vines rest on clay and sandy gravel soils, ensuring optimal drainage and a pure expression of the grape varieties.

Tasting

Color: Pale yellow with silver highlights, bright and clear.

Nose: Precise and expressive, blending aromas of citrus (lime, grapefruit), exotic fruits (pineapple, passion fruit), white flowers and subtle smoky and chalky notes.

Palate: Lively and tense attack, with beautiful energy. The texture is ample and silky, balanced by a saline freshness. Long and mineral finish, remarkably pure.

Storage Potential

Already attractive in its youth, the Cos d'Estournel Blanc 2019 will be able to evolve elegantly over 10 to 12 years, developing aromas of dried fruits, honey and flint.

Food and Wine Pairings

Ideal to accompany:

- Seared scallops, parsnip mousseline
- Sea bass tartare with citrus fruits
- Farmhouse poultry with lemon sauce
- Fresh goat cheeses (Crottin de Chavignol, Valençay)
