Grape varieties and terroir

Typical Pomerol blend:
- 70 to 80% Merlot: flesh, roundness and deliciousness
- 20 to 30% Cabernet Franc: freshness, tension and floral complexity
The vineyard is based on an exceptional terroir, made up of ancient gravel on a clay-sand substrate, giving the wines depth, elegance and a remarkable capacity for evolution.

Tasting

Color: Intense garnet red, with slightly tiled highlights.
Nose: Deep and charming, revealing aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, plum), violet and truffle, complemented by spicy notes (black pepper) and elegant woody nuances.
Palate: Supple and velvety attack, dense and harmonious mid-palate. The tannins, of great finesse, support a creamy substance without heaviness. Persistent and complex finish, with aromas of candied black fruits and undergrowth.

Storage Potential

Already very pleasant today after decanting, the Château Beauregard 2017 will still be able to evolve elegantly over 10 to 15 years, gaining tertiary nuances (cocoa, leather, truffle).

Food and Wine Pairings

An ideal wine to enhance:
- Beef fillet in a crust with Périgueux sauce
- Grilled lamb chops with herbs
- Duck breast with roasted figs
- Risotto with porcini mushrooms and parmesan shavings
- Matured hard cheeses (Comté, old Mimolette)
