Grape varieties and terroir

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, Tête de Ponts comes from old vines cultivated biodynamically, on the clay-limestone hillsides of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, around Daix. This terroir, still preserved, gives the wine great mineral energy and an aromatic expression of rare finesse.

Tasting

Color: Bright ruby red, with slightly garnet highlights.

Nose: Intense aromas of crisp red fruits (redcurrant, raspberry), fresh flowers (peony, violet), with touches of sweet spices and a subtle note of undergrowth.

Palate: Lively and juicy attack, delicate but deep substance, silky tannins and a long, mineral and saline finish, which calls for indulgence.

Storage Potential

10-15 years old

Food and Wine Pairings

Perfect with roasted farmhouse poultry, filet mignon with herbs, rabbit with mustard or fresh and mature cheeses such as Saint-Marcellin or Brillat-Savarin.
