Grape varieties and terroir

Iconic assembly:

- Cabernet Franc (35%): aromatic complexity, finesse
- Cabernet Sauvignon (35%): structure, freshness
- Merlot (30%): volume, roundness and richness

The deep gravel of the Figeac plateau ensures perfect drainage and slow maturation, essential to the elegance of the wine.

Tasting

Color: Deep garnet red with brilliant reflections.

Nose: Delicate and racy, with notes of red and black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant), floral touches of violet, aromas of graphite, sweet spices and a slight chalky minerality.

Palate: Silky attack, elegant and structured palate, with fine and chiseled tannins. Long and airy finish, balanced between freshness, tension and aromatic depth.

Storage Potential

In Nebuchadnezzar (15L), the aging capacity is exceptional: 80 to 100 years of storage, ideal for amateurs and collectors looking for rare pieces.

Food and Wine Pairings

Perfectly suited to exceptional dishes:

- Beef in a Wellington crust
- Roasted pigeon with truffles
- Saddle of milk-fed lamb with herbs
- Hard ripened cheeses (Comté 36 months, Beaufort d’alpage)

Description

A jewel of the Right Bank, Château Figeac embodies the timeless elegance of the greatest Saint-Émilion. Classified Premier Grand Cru Classé A, it is distinguished by an atypical grape variety dominated by Cabernets, giving it great aging potential and rare freshness. The 2017 vintage, marked by reduced yields but of remarkable quality, gives birth to a refined, balanced, and harmonious cuvée. In the almost impossible-to-find Nebuchadnezzar format (15L), this bottle becomes a spectacular collector's item.
