Grape varieties and terroir

The Krug 1995 is a subtle blend of:

- Pinot Noir (nearly 50%) for structure and power
- Chardonnay (around 35%) for freshness and elegance
- Pinot Meunier (around 15%) for roundness and aroma
The grapes come from the best Grand Cru and Premier Cru terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley.

Tasting

Color: Deep golden yellow, very bright, fine and persistent bubbles.

Nose: Complex bouquet of dried fruits (almond, hazelnut), candied citrus fruits, acacia honey, toasted bread and subtle notes of white truffle.

Palate: Smooth and ample texture, remarkable mineral tension, perfect balance between richness and freshness. Infinite finish, with spicy and saline nuances.
