Grape varieties and terroir

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this vintage comes from the prestigious Clos des Épenots climate, located at the entrance to Pommard. Composed of deep, iron-rich clay-limestone soils, this terroir gives the wine a powerful tannic structure and a rare finesse of expression, the signature of the greatest Pommard wines.

Tasting

Color: Deep red with purple and garnet highlights.

Nose: Concentrated aromas of ripe black fruits, accompanied by subtle notes of undergrowth, sweet spices and minerality.

Palate: Full attack, dense and structured palate, with firm but elegantly integrated tannins. Long and persistent finish, with accents of liquorice and graphite.

Storage Potential

A wine with great ageing potential, capable of evolving harmoniously over 15 to 25 years, revealing over time tertiary aromas of great nobility.

Food and Wine Pairings

Ideal with stews, game stew, braised beef cheek, rack of lamb with herbs, as well as mature hard cheeses.
