Grape varieties and terroir

This great wine is made from 100% Chardonnay, grown on the steep slopes of Corton hill, on marl-limestone soils rich in white clay. This unique terroir, facing southwest, gives the wines their mineral tension, their volume in the mouth and their exceptional longevity.

Tasting

Color: Intense gold with amber highlights, a testament to its beautiful age.

Nose: Evolved aromas of dried fruits (almond, hazelnut), notes of honey, fresh butter, beeswax and chalky minerality.

Palate: Full and creamy attack, imposing structure balanced by a still present liveliness. Persistent finish with iodized and toasted nuances.

Storage Potential

With an aging potential of 20 to 30 years, this wine can already offer great pleasure today. However, it will reach its peak between 2030 and 2040.

Food and Wine Pairings

Ideal with Bresse chicken in cream sauce, roast turbot, pan-fried scallops or even long-aged hard cheeses (Comté 36 months, Beaufort).
