Grape varieties and terroir

This wine is composed primarily of Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are planted on the clay-limestone slopes and sandy soils of Saint-Émilion, giving the wine depth, smoothness, and a beautiful mineral tension.

Tasting

Color: Deep garnet red, with brilliant reflections.

Nose: Aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, blackberry), mixed with floral notes, sweet spices, blond tobacco and a melted woodiness.

Palate: Supple and silky attack, fine and well-integrated tannins, subtle balance between roundness and freshness. Elegant and persistent finish, with liquorice and mineral notes.

Storage Potential

10-15 years old

Food and Wine Pairings

Ideal with a fillet of beef in a crust, duck breast with figs, sweetbreads, or even soft mature cheeses like Brie de Meaux.
