Grape varieties and terroir

Unique assembly in Figeac:

- Cabernet Franc (35%): finesse, florality, complexity
- Cabernet Sauvignon (35%): structure, power, freshness
- Merlot (30%): roundness, flesh, depth

The vineyard lies on deep gravelly hillsides, similar to those of the Médoc, giving Figeac wines an incomparable signature between power and refinement.

Tasting

Color: Intense garnet red, bright and deep.

Nose: Expressive and complex, it opens with notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), violet, graphite, with spicy touches (pepper, liquorice) and a subtle minerality.

Palate: Smooth and elegant attack, straight and structured palate, carried by fine and silky tannins. The balance is remarkable, with a vibrant freshness and a persistent finish on notes of ripe fruit, blond tobacco and cedar.

Storage Potential

This Balthazar (12L), an exceptional format, guarantees a slow and majestic evolution: 60, 80, 100 years of aging, ideal for collectors and large celebrations.

Food and Wine Pairings

A ceremonial wine, perfect with:

- Beef Wellington
- Veal chop with morels
- Roasted leg of milk-fed lamb
- Royal hare
- Matured hard cheeses (Comté, Beaufort d’alpage)
