Grape varieties and terroir

Precise assembly:

- Cabernet Sauvignon (49%): structure, tension and longevity
- Merlot (46%): fullness and roundness
- Petit Verdot (3%) & Cabernet Franc (2%): floral and spicy complexity

The vines are planted on deep gravelly ridges, bringing finesse and minerality to the wines, while ensuring optimal ripening of the grapes.

Tasting

Color: Deep red with purple and violet highlights.

Nose: Intense and refined, with aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), violet, graphite and cedar, with delicate touches of sweet spices (pepper, liquorice).

Palate: Silky and enveloping attack, dense mid-palate, marked by fine and perfectly integrated tannins. The balance is remarkable between power and freshness, with a long and salivating finish on mineral and spicy notes.

Storage Potential

A vintage that promises a long evolution: it will keep for 20 to 30 years, developing aromas of truffle, leather and undergrowth over time.

Food and Wine Pairings

This distinguished Saint-Julien will ideally accompany:

- Grilled Bordeaux rib steak
- Leg of lamb confit with herbs
- Fillet of venison with grand veneur sauce
- Creamy polenta with mushrooms
- Mature cheeses (Comté, Beaufort, old Salers)

Château Beychevelle

Château Beychevelle, Fourth Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien since 1855, seduces with its history and elegance. The estate spans 90 hectares of Garonne gravel, primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Nicknamed the “Versailles of Médoc,” it owes its name to Admiral Jean-Louis de Nogaret, whose coat of arms adorns the famous bottle with the ship. Owned by the Castel and Suntory group, Beychevelle combines tradition, precision, and modernity. Its wines, charming, silky, and balanced, perfectly embody the refined style of Saint-Julien.
