The vineyard, with a small surface area, is based on clay-limestone soils typical of Saint-Émilion, promoting slow ripening and a good concentration of berries.

Tasting

Color: Deep, dense red with bright garnet highlights.

Nose: Complex and expressive, with aromas of jammy black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), liquorice, cocoa bean, with toasted nuances and black truffle.

Palate: Full and velvety attack, dense and generous body, perfectly integrated tannins. The mineral freshness balances the power, offering a long, silky and persistent finish.

Storage Potential

A great wine for laying down, capable of aging for more than 30 years in this exceptional format.

Château La Gomerie

Château La Gomerie is a confidential micro-cuvée, praised by Robert Parker as "the Pétrus of Saint-Émilion." Owned by the Bécot family, also at the helm of the prestigious Château Beau-Séjour Bécot, this exceptional wine comes from old Merlot vines, over 100 years old. Its unique clay-limestone terroir and artisanal vinification make it a rare and sought-after reference. La Gomerie is only produced in exceptional vintages and in very limited quantities.
