Grape varieties and terroir

Typical assembly:

- Merlot (70-75%): flesh, roundness, depth
- Cabernet Franc (20-25%): freshness, aromatic elegance
- Cabernet Sauvignon (5-10%): structure, length and complexity

The vineyard lies on a clay-limestone plateau at an altitude of 100 m, ensuring slow ripening and good concentration of the berries.

Tasting

Color: Intense garnet red, with slightly tiled highlights, a sign of beautiful development.

Nose: Expressive and complex, revealing aromas of stewed black fruits (blackcurrant, prune), undergrowth, sweet spices (pepper, cinnamon) and refined notes of leather and truffle.

Palate: A supple and velvety attack, elegant and well-balanced on the palate, with melted tannins. The finish is long and persistent, with a lovely freshness and evolved nuances of blond tobacco and cocoa.

Storage Potential

In Magnum, this 2012 vintage will still be able to evolve harmoniously for 10 to 15 years, gaining in depth and complexity.

Food and Wine Pairings

Perfect to accompany:

- Beef fillet with porcini mushrooms
- Duck breast with figs
- Roast rack of lamb in a herb crust
- Matured cheeses (Comté 24 months, Brie de Melun)
